We just restocked these YGirlash lash wands and I figured it was finally time to write something proper about them, because they sell out quietly and people keep asking me what the deal is. Here's the short version: they're disposable mascara wands with a diamond-cut crystal handle, fifty to a pack, eleven ninety-nine. Here's the long version, which is what you actually came here for. Let me start with what they're made of, since that's the first thing people want to know when they see "crystal" in a product name. The handle is molded plastic cut with facets so it catches light like a cheap gemstone — it's not actual crystal, and nobody's pretending otherwise at this price. The wand head is nylon bristle, the same basic fiber used in salon-grade spoolies, with a tapered spiral that holds product without loading up too heavy. Each brush is a single molded piece, so there's no glue joint where the head meets the handle, which is the spot where cheap wands usually snap. I've pulled a few out of the box and given the heads a tug; they hold. The bristles are firm enough to separate lashes but soft enough that you're not scratching your lid. Build quality is honestly better than I expected for a dozen cents a brush, and I say that as someone who's opened a lot of bulk cosmetic boxes and been disappointed. Now the specifications, because I know some of you want numbers before anything else. Each wand measures 10cm from the base of the handle to the tip of the spiral — that's about four inches, shorter than a full-size mascara wand but longer than the tiny travel ones, which puts it in a nice middle zone. They come in standard sizes only, so no length variations to fuss over. The pack is 50 pieces, which breaks down to roughly twenty-four cents per wand, and the colors vary depending on what's in stock — we carry the assorted crystal-handle shades you see in the listings, and the mix can shift between restocks since YGirlash rotates the palette. If you're ordering for a specific event and you need the handles to match, message us before you check out and I'll tell you what's actually on the shelf that week. The SKU for this listing is P3256806974742670 if you need to hunt it down in our system or reference it when you email. So what do you actually do with fifty mascara wands? More than you'd think, and this is where the product earns its keep. The obvious one is lash and brow grooming at home — you comb through your lashes after mascara to kill clumps, or brush your brows into shape before filling them in. But the scenario I hear about most from customers is lash extension care. If you wear extensions, you already know you're supposed to brush them daily, and you're not going to use the same wand for a month because that's how you get gunk and bacteria building up near the bond line. Fifty wands means you can use one, toss it, and never think about it again. The second scenario is makeup artists and students. If you do bridal work or you're in a cosmetology program, you need disposable applicators for hygiene reasons, and these look a lot nicer on a workstation than plain black plastic. The third is the one people always forget: travel and gym bags. Toss a handful in your toiletry kit, use one, bin it, and you're not carrying a wet mascara wand around in a pouch for three days. Parents also buy these for kids' dance recitals and Halloween makeup, which I didn't see coming but totally makes sense. Using and maintaining them is about as simple as it gets, which is part of the appeal. For mascara, wipe the wand on the rim of the tube so you're not starting with a blob, then wiggle from root to tip. For lash extensions, use the dry wand with no product at all and brush gently upward and outward, never side to side near the roots. For brows, spoolie first with the dry brush, then apply your product and comb through to distribute. Cleaning, if you're reusing one within a short window: warm water, a dot of gentle soap, work it through the bristles with your fingers, rinse and lay it flat on a paper towel to air dry. Don't stand them upright while wet, because water pools in the spiral. And don't boil them or soak them in alcohol for long stretches — the nylon gets brittle and the handle can cloud. Honestly, though, the whole point is disposability, so don't over-engineer it. Use it a couple of times, then let it go. Here's the honest pros and cons, because a review that pretends everything is perfect isn't worth your time. Pros: the price per wand is hard to beat, the faceted handle is genuinely nicer to hold than a smooth tube and it doesn't roll off the counter as easily, the bristle spacing works on both fine and thick lashes, and the fifty-count means you're not reordering every other week. Cons: they're disposable plastic, so if you're trying to cut single-use waste from your routine, this category isn't for you and I won't pretend otherwise. The color mix is random, so don't order expecting a coordinated set. And the wand head is firm — if your lashes are very sparse or your lids are sensitive, a softer silicone wand might suit you better. Also worth saying: because these are individually bagged in bulk, a few handles in any given 50-pack can have faint scuff marks straight from the factory. It's cosmetic, not structural, but I'd rather you hear it from me than find it yourself. From a design standpoint, this thing works because it solves a hygiene problem without asking you to spend salon money. A traditional mascara wand is built to stay inside a tube and get reused for months, which is fine for one person and a nightmare for anyone working on multiple faces or maintaining extensions. Shrinking the wand to 10cm and pairing it with a faceted handle does two things at once: it keeps the tool short enough to control precisely around the lash line, and it makes the wand feel like something you'd actually leave out on a vanity rather than hide in a drawer. The crystal-style handle isn't just decoration either — the facets give you grip when your hands are slick with oil or setting spray, which is a small thing that matters more than you'd think. Who it suits best: lash techs and makeup artists who need disposables by the hundred, extension wearers who brush daily, anyone learning to do their own lashes and tired of ruining a good mascara wand, and gifters putting together little beauty kits. Who it doesn't suit: anyone wanting a reusable heirloom tool, or someone who needs a specific soft-bristle head. Everyone else, at eleven ninety-nine for fifty, the math does itself.
