We've been selling beauty and skincare in this shop for a long time now, and every so often a product comes through that I end up using myself before I ever put it on the shelf. That is exactly what happened with this ELF pre-makeup green primer and dual-use liquid blush combo. I ordered a batch, opened one to check the packaging was intact and the seal was good like I always do, and then it just sort of ended up in my own makeup bag. That's how I know I can write about it honestly. This isn't a sponsored write-up. It's just me telling you what this thing is actually like after handling a lot of them and using one daily. Let's start with what it's made of, because with gel primers the formula is really the whole story. This is a water-based gel, not a silicone-heavy putty like some of the green color correctors out there. The texture is light, cool on the skin, and it spreads without that slippery, fake feeling. The green tint comes from mineral-based pigments that sit on the surface to cancel redness rather than soaking in, and the gel itself uses glycerin and lightweight emollients so it doesn't strip your skin when you apply it. Build quality on the packaging is better than the price suggests. The 75ml tube is a soft squeeze tube with a flip-top cap that snaps shut properly, which matters more than you think because gel primers dry out fast if the seal is loose. I've squeezed a few of these hard to test the seams and haven't had one split on me yet. The lip and cheek blusher side of the product is a liquid-powder, which means it goes on wet and sets to a soft matte-powder finish. It comes in a small tube with a doe-foot applicator, and the formula is pigmented enough that you don't need to layer it three times to see anything. Now for specs. The primer is 75ml, which is a genuinely generous size. Most primers in this price range sit at 30ml or less, so you're getting more than double the product. The tube itself is about the size of a standard toothpaste tube and stands upright on a shelf. The blusher tube is much smaller, roughly 10ml, with the standard doe-foot wand. Colors available for the blusher are the ones shown in the dropdown, and I'll be straight with you, all of them lean warm rather than cool. The primer shade is one universal green. There aren't multiple size options here, so "standard sizes" is exactly right. This isn't a full shade range situation. In real daily life this is a two-for-one kind of product, and that's the main reason it sells. Let me give you three concrete ways I've seen people use it. One: someone with rosacea or just redness across the cheeks and nose uses the green gel as a base, lets it sit a minute, then goes straight in with a light foundation. The redness is knocked down before any coverage goes on, so you end up using way less foundation and the finish looks more like skin. Two: the blusher is a lunch-break hero. It's small enough to fit in a jeans pocket, so a quick touch-up on cheeks and lips can happen in a car before a meeting. Three: a bride or anyone going to an event uses the primer as a grip layer under their makeup, then uses the liquid-powder blush on both lips and cheeks for a monochrome look that matches without extra products. We sell a lot of these to people who are traveling light. Using it is simple, but there are a couple of small things worth knowing. For the primer, apply a thin layer over your usual moisturizer and wait roughly 60 seconds before foundation. Do not rub it in aggressively; pat and press it on. You want it to sit there as a barrier, not disappear. For the blush, one dot per cheek is plenty, and you need to blend it with your fingers or a damp sponge fast because liquid-powder sets quickly. On the lips, a thin layer works better than a big glob. Maintenance is easy. Wipe the tube caps after use because dried gel builds up around the threads and makes them stick. Store both upright in a cool spot, and keep them out of a hot car. That's it. There's no brush to wash. Pros, honestly: the price is the obvious one at 14.92. The 75ml primer will last months of daily use. It doesn't break down under most foundations I've tested. The dual-use blush saves bag space. Cons, and I want to be precise here: the green tint doesn't fully neutralize deep redness on its own, so it's a support player, not a standalone fix. The blush shades run warmer than the swatches suggest on very cool-toned skin, and if you have oily lids, I wouldn't depend on it anywhere but lips and cheeks. Also, the gel primer and some silicone-based foundations can pill if you apply foundation too soon, so give it that minute. Nothing fatal. Just real things I've seen. Here's the expert-style part, and I've thought about this having moved thousands of SKUs, including P1005012948680994, through this shop. The design logic here is all about reducing steps without reducing results. A green gel primer works because color-cancelling opposite pigments on the color wheel actually neutralize, and doing that step as a lightweight gel instead of a heavy cream means it can support many skin types rather than only dry ones. The dual-use liquid-powder blush is a smart format because liquid pigments blend seamlessly into skin while the powder finish stops transfer onto masks and collars. This product suits someone who wants a small, functional routine: a redness-prone base, a quick color product, a cheap price, and no learning curve. It is not for someone chasing full coverage, dramatic pigment, or a huge shade selection. If you know what it is, you'll be happy. If you expect it to be a luxury color-corrector, you won't be.
